We Believe in Being Fair

Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC believes in good faith and being fair - that's why we want to be as transparent as possible about out a few things: 

Booking Policy

We believe in a 2 to 1 guest to guide ratio on all trips. For safety purposes, no more than 2 guests and a guide per boat. For outings with 3 or more anglers, more guides will be arranged to accommodate your party. For walk/wade trips, tag-alongs are welcomed and will be charged a $75 additional angler fee per person. 

Payments, Deposits, Cancellation Policy, Acts of Nature Policy, and Gratuities, and Card Information Disclosure

Payments, Deposits and Cancellation Policy 

I. 50% of the net trip cost is to be made to Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC at the time of booking. Deposits are held until the time of the trip and net payment is made. Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC is able to accept major credit cards, checks, and cash. We do not accept Apple Pay, Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal at this time. (See Card Information Disclosure) II. Cancellations or changes outside of 45 days are subject to a full refund of the deposit and/or full payment made. III. Cancellations or changes inside of 45 days are subject to a hold of the 50% deposit; if full payment was made, 50% of the net trip cost will be refunded; the held deposit may be used to reserve a future booking, used as a credit towards another booking, or transferred into a gift certificate. IV. Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of the booked trip will result in a full hold of the net trip cost; 50% of the net trip cost will be entitled to reserve a future booking, used as a credit towards another booking, or transferred into a gift certificate. Acts of Nature Policy 

I. Safety is always our #1 priority. Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC reserves the right to keep you safe. We guide in rain, wind, snow, and sunshine. However, under no circumstance will a member of Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC be coerced into conducting guided activities in an unsafe situation or environment, such as, but not limited to: unsafe road conditions due to ice or snow, fully diminished visibility, lightning, flooding, or other endagering conditions. Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC reserves the right to postpone or cancel guided activities in good faith; postponement or cancellation of guided activities will be handled in good faith on a case-by-case basis due to the unpredictability of Nature. II. Furthermore, under the Acts of Nature Policy, failure to fulfill guided activities by a member of Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC or the booking guest(s) due to, but not limited to: auto accidents, bereavement, personal health, family emergency, or any other crisis will be handled in good faith on a case-by-case basis due to the unpredictability of Nature. III. As part of our Acts of Nature Policy, we highly recommend purchasing traveller's or vacation insurance. This insurance can take the headache out of your trip(s) for almost any reason that may cause a cancellation of your booking. Gratuities

I. Gratuities are always appreciated for the work we do at Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC. We strive to make your day on the water the best it can possibly be! II. Gratuities may be paid at anytime during the booking process, at the time of the trip, or at the end of your trip, though it is customary to tip your guide at the end of your outing(s). Card Information Disclosure

Appalachian Fishing Guides LLC does not store, save or distribute your personal information online or in print. Deposits will be made at booking and payments may be made in person or over the phone.
